LENT BEGINS
On Ash Wednesday, February 17, the season of Lent begins. This is a time of spiritual preparation for celebrating Christ’s death and resurrection. To assist you in your spiritual journey during these six weeks leading up to Easter several opportunities have been planned for you.
- Five daily Bible readings from the Gospel of Luke will be suggested each week beginning February 15. Pastor Nicholson’s Sunday morning messages will be based on the passages you will be reading during the week.
- Lenten services will be held each Wednesday night at 7, beginning February 17, with our own Ash Wednesday service. Each of the local churches and preachers will take turns hosting and preaching through the following five weeks.
- Lenten luncheons will be held at the
